		<description>What Tajiks need at this point in time is independent energy. The pending hydropower projects on Sangtuda and Rogun if backed by western investors could be very profitable to investors. There is a huge demand for electricity in Pakistan and Afhganistan and Tajikistan is in a very good position to benefit from this. 

If this is achieved Tajiks will no longer be dependent on Uzbek energy hence have more leeway to shape their own economy according to their needs.  

One thing that Tajiks need is unity and political will (from West) to move forward on this.</description>
