Dirty water in Dushanbe
You can see the larger image here.
Here is how Rahmon discribes the water in Dushanbe, which comes out of the faucet.
The water in the capital of Tajikistan which comes to the apartments from the Varzob water reservoir looks more like a coffee with milk mixed with sand and microorganisms. The reason is that the water supply system is still not fixed. The spent millions of dollars did not help. Even this muddy water comes only in the morning and in the evening for a couple of hours.

That’s an Embarrassment for the current Government of Tajikistan, and especially for Emomali RahmoN + OV. I don’t see ANY reason WHY our people have to drink that dirt. The question is WHERE ALL THOSE HUGE MONEY provided by JAPAN as a DONATION to the PEOPLE of TAJIKISTAN, WENT TO? Why can’t anyone get familiar with the data HOW THOSE MONEY WERE SPENT, or should I say WHICH POLITICIANS ARE BUILDING BRAND NEW HOUSES and SPEND THE DONATION for the personal USE??? The president and members of present government of Tajikistan might have the same problem in their houses, but how long we’ll have to deal with that? Where’s such thing as a PATRIOTISM, what happened to such expression as LOVE to our MOTHERLAND? What happened to the dedication to DO something, to make a difference for the people? Are there going to be even a single person in the country who will say NO to corruption and present stereotype of politicians. Will that person show a proper, honest, and right example of what it takes to be a citizen and PATRIOT of its country? After all Government suppose to be there for US, not us there for the government. Ethics and Norms start from the top, and if our government accept bribes, gifts, robs, steels and etc., how can we accept overall national attitude to change their standards of normality? We need changes. It’s been time for changes!!!

I feel sad for those poor people. I wish they could do something about it. I really care for them. Even though I am 13, I’m quite interested in this. Anyways, I want to know if this is current, or old. Keep me informed, please.

Martin, this is an old picture but the problem is still there. This muddy water comes out of facets in most parts of Dushanbe in spring and fall when it rains a lot.
