I'm in Dushanbe for a 4-month period doing some volunteer legal work for an NGO, and so far I've enjoyed both the work and Tajikistan thoroughly. I'm from a small town not far from New York City and although I have traveled widely, mostly for pleasure, this is my first time working abroad and, of course, my first time in Central Asia.
