Nokia phones with Tajik menu
Well, it is a relatively old story but I want to have this on our blog. Nokia Corporation in joint collaboration with a Tajik company Arzon Mobile installed a Tajik menu in its phones «NOKIA 1200» and «NOKIA 1208». These phones are available in local supermarkets for about $65 US.
…presence of the Tajik language in the Nokia menu will serve as guarantee that the cell phone is original, produced for Tajikistan and will have 12-month free backup service. It is also guarantee that the phone was delivered to the country legally.
These are not the best phones but I am glad that Tajikistan is one step forward, at least in that direction.

Tajikistan is moving forward! Maybe the next step cd be to have a cell network that works along all the main roads in the country?

I’d buy such a phone just for coolness factor!
By the way, what’s the situation with computers? How Tajiki-friendly are they? For whatever reason Win XP doesn’t have a Tajik kbd layout and I also noticed that on the Tajik version of this blog they don’t really bother typing ҷ, ӯ, ғ, ӣ and so on.

OS in Tajik is available. I have seen one at www.kde.tj
