I think the two other Central Asian republics who had territorial disputes with China stemming from the USSR resulted in them ceding land to that filthy communist regime. Unfortunately I can't see how Tajikistan from its weak posistion at the moment can fare any better.

The deal has taken place long ago (2002). Why have we woken up so late and started calling for sanctions against SCO & China just now?

We must boycott Shanghai Cooperation Organization, these Chinese turncoats say one thing and do another......
They talk about "peaceful rise", but their defense and military expenses more than doubled in the last five years.

I’m concerned about the statement of the head of regional militia department in Khorog, who said that they will use force if the rally will be organized without the the permission of the local government.

I think it would be best for all parties to stick to the letter of the law. Organizing the protest w/o permission gives the government a free hand to supress the rally and if that happens it is not gonna look pretty.

I hope that everyone sees the real problem and solves real issues rather than engage in political power struggle using a bunch of innocent and gullible folks to perpetuate their ambitions.

I don't think that there will be another war. We don't need it and people understand it. Also those who are going to organize the rally understand that it is the last thing that people want. People just want changes. Zoirov was courageous enough to say that there will be a rally even if the local government in Khorog will not give a sanction. If everything goes well in Khorog it will be a good example for all others that people can change their lives without any violence. However I'm concerned about the statement of the head of regional militia department in Khorog, who said that they will use force if the rally will be organized without the the permission of the local government.

This is all great, but I really hope that both sides have enough sanity not to start yet another war, because of political ambitions.

Some issues raised are valid and need to be dealt with. Others could be artificial and used to cover the political ambitions of those who just want power.

From a purely military point of view they don't stand a chance. With current military power and Russia's backing of current regime, any rebellion can be crushed and done so easily. I just hope folks have enough brains not to resort to violence and work the problems out peacefully.
