Tajik people send humanitarian aid to China
This is the first time I hear that Tajikistan sends a humanitarian aid to China.
Tajikistan is sending a humanitarian aid to China for victims of earthquake that hit China’s Sichuan province on May 12. It was reported to AsiaPlus by Nematboy Abdurasoulov, the head of the international cooperation department at the Committee of Emergency Situations (CES), which to transport the humanitarian aid to China.
According to Abdurasulov, five heavy trucks “KamAZ” loaded with tents, foodstuffs, drinking water tanks and other relief supplies are sent today in the morning through Kulob-Darvoz-Khorog-Murgab-Kulma and further to China.
This symbolic jesture makes me proud of my country. Despite the hardships it experiences itself, it finds resource to sends a humanitarian aid to Sichuan, which experienced a devastating earthquake. But, when you read the news at AsiaPlus in Russian it says that “the humanitarian aid from the government of Tajikistan”. I guess it should be “from the people fo Tajikistan” but not from the government.
